How to Find Duplicate Files and Move to Cloud?

  • Launch Clone Files Checker and on the top left corner you can see the Step 1 section, from  where you can select certain folder(s)/ hard drive(s) to be included/ excluded from the scan for duplicate files.
  • Step 2 provides you with the flexibility to either scan for all kinds of files or to limit the scan to a certain kind(s) of files. Once you have made your choice, click the blue colored Start Search button to initiate the scan.

  • Once the scan is over, a popup window which will inform you about the number of duplicate files detected and present you with 2 options, namely Fix Wizard and Review & Fix.

  • Clicking on Review & Fix will lead you to the next screen where you can inspect all the duplicates individually and decide on the opportune course of action to be taken for them.
  • Click Select Duplicates and then choose one option that you desire. Next, click Select Action and a new window will appear that provides for choosing between Permanent Delete and Move to Folder.
  • Select Move to Folder and you can move the duplicate data to a folder that is synced to a cloud service. Clone Files Checker will move the files to that synced folder (provided that you have an Internet connection).
  • Alternatively, if you select Fix Wizard, you will be provided with the option to select which version of the files you want to retain (newest or older) and then you will have to choose between moving the files to a specific folder or permanently deleting them. Simply select the cloud-synced folder and Clone Files Checker will move all the duplicate data to the specified folder.
