Easy Installation

  1. Visit the official Microsoft Photos page.
  2. Click on Get the App button.
  3. It’ll load your pre-installed Windows Store metro app. Windows Store will redirect you to the in-app Microsoft Photos installation page. Install it on your computer.

Note: Windows Store metro app will not start the installation if the Metered Connection is activated on your current Wi-Fi connection. For more information about disabling the Metered Connection, visit the Microsoft Support Center.

Scanning for Duplicates

  1. Download, install and run Clone Files Checker.
  2. Use the list box on the left corner of the main window to add folders containing your photos, images and wallpapers.

  4. Once the scan is over, choose Quick-Fix to perform a universal action on all duplicates, or Review & Fix to list out results into a list box and take a different for different groups of duplicates.

Restoring Deleted Duplicates

  1. Click the History tab in Clone Files Checker User Interface.

  4. Select the files you want to restore, click Restore and lastly specify a destination folder.
