Transfer Google Music to iTunes

Even though there is no simple method to sync your Google Play music library with your Apple device, but you can migrate your Google Play Music to iTunes. The total time required in accomplishing this task depends on the cumulative size of the music files in question. So let’s begin then.

 

Move Google Play Music To iTunes

  1. Make a new folder on the desktop or anywhere else you wish (with enough storage) to store your Google Play Music Library.
  2. Open Google Play and access your music library.
  3. Choose the music album you want to download.
  4. After you’ve chosen which album you want to save, click the three dotted icon to bring up the menu. Now select the DOWNLOAD NOW option. You’ll then be prompted to select the location where you want to download the music – in this case, the new folder you made in step # 1.
  5. Keep on repeating the last 2 steps until you’ve downloaded the entire music library.
  6. Now select the files you want to move to iTunes Library. Simply copy them to the iTunes Library by dragging them into the iTunes interface. Alternatively, you can also use Ctrl + C to copy the music files and Ctrl + V to paste them in the iTunes Library.

  7. Delete the folder you created in step # 1 so as to avoid duplication. That’s it, you’ve transferred all of your favorite music to iTunes.

 

Remove Duplicates From iTunes

It happens more often that you end up with duplicate files in iTunes. Such files are a headache and end up wasting precious hard disk space for no good. Luckily enough, finding and weeding them out is a fairly straightforward task. Just make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed and then jump right into the solution.

  1. To remove duplicate songs, navigate to the Songs tab through the Library.
  2. Once you’re in the Songs tab, click File and point to Library. Now select the Show Duplicate Items option.

  3. Select all the files you want to delete, right-click on the highlighted area and select Delete option to purge the duplicates from iTunes.

 

Remove Duplicates From iTunes Automatically

Here is an automated solution to tackle iTunes duplicates. This can be termed as a recommended option, as it makes use of a purpose built software program.

  1. Download Clone Files Checker from the official site and install it. Now register the product so that you can make the most of its duplicate sweeping features.
  2. Select the iTunes Search button right under the History tab.
  3. Click the Add button and then navigate to the iTunes Music Library in order to scan it for duplicate songs.
  4. Click the blue Start Search button to get the scan going.

  6. Click on Select Duplicates to determine which version of the duplicate files you wish to retain.
