Note: New features were added into the Clone Files Checker. It is recommended you see the features and video tutorials to learn how to use the Quick-Fix feature of the product.
Clone files, also known as duplicate or identical files, are space-eating files. These files are same sized with same content. However the file names vary and these files may be scattered in different locations of your hard disk.
After initializing a scan two options will appear on your screen namely Quick Fix and Review & Fix. The former automatically identifies and removes duplicate files, while the latter shows list of all duplicates found so that you can take a preferred action.
In case of Quick Fix you’ll be prompted to choose which type of files have to be deleted and what action has to be taken.
Step # 1: Click the Fix Wizard button.
Step # 2: Specify whether you want to retain the newest or oldest image files.
Step # 3: Specify whether you want to move your image files to Recycle Bin, a separate folder, or delete them permanently.
In case of Review & Fix, the software will list down all duplicate files in a listbox so that you can choose files you want to remove.
