Process

1. Download Clone Files Checker from Sorcim’s website
2. Install it by running the setup file
3. Using the list box on the left, add folders that contain music files. If your music files are stored in different partitions, add all of them too
4. You can choose to exclude some folders, sub folders as well
5. Customize the scan settings. Choose “Custom” option and select the “Music” checkbox
6. Start the scan, wait till results appear on your screen
7. You’ll be given two options – Quick-Fix and Review & Fix
8. If you want to take action on all dupes, choose Quick-Fix, else click Review & Fix for a list of all dupes to choose from

Actions

You may choose one of the following actions:

• Move all duplicates to the Recycle Bin
• Permanently delete all duplicates
• Move all clone songs to a specific folder

Backup

No need to worry even if you’ve accidentally deleted any important file. The Backup feature will help you recover all such files as they are automatically backed up before deletion. Although users can choose to not to create a backup before deleting them, it is highly recommended that you create a backup before initiating the sweep up of dupes on your system. This ensures you can easily restore them in the future if the need arises. You can even delete old backups from the History tab to free up more disk space.
