Find Duplicates on Yandex Disk using Clone Files Checker

Yandex Disk is a cloud service introduced by Yandex N.V. which provides safe and easily accessible cloud services for users. Over time, the platform has experienced huge growth and its user base has skyrocketed based on its ease of use. Let’s take a look at how Yandex works.

It’s a good idea to de-duplicate Cloud and System files with the industry’s top duplicate finder, Clone Files Checker. Try it free here.

What is Yandex?

Yandex’s ease of use and security are the top reasons that make it stand out in the competition. All the files are uploaded on an IP that is encrypted to provide optimum security. The connections are also checked using anti-virus software that further eliminates any possibility of any data sniffing from happening.

Yandex can also be used via its mobile app. This allows the user to easily access their Yandex data across multiple Internet-enabled devices. Yandex also makes it easy for users when it comes to sorting mails through Yandex Mail and Yandex Narod. Upon receiving the files and mails, it automatically sends them to the appropriate folders for easy searching.

Signup With Yandex Disk

To connect or signup with Yandex Disk, you first need to visit the official website and click the Get started button. Next, fill in your registration details and like other cloud-based services like Google Drive and OneDrive, you will gain access to the Yandex browser, Mail, Calendar along with other features upon successful registration.

Once you’ve signed up, you will come across an easy-to-use interface with categories on the left. The uploaded files on Yandex Disk can be edited since it offers an online version of Microsoft Office as well. Plus, you can download the data on your computer by simply clicking the Download option.

Pricing

Yandex disk is free for upto 10 GB of space. However, as you move up the storage ladder, the prices go up as well. Yandex charges $2.40 per month for 100 GB, $10.00 per month for 1000 GB and $30 per month for 3000 GB.

Storage

Yandex is offered free of charge. Initially, the user is provided 10 GB free space, which can then be increased by an additional 512 MB by referring other users. Users can also turn on the auto-upload feature on devices to increase the maximum storage from 10 GB to 42 GB.

Managing Duplicates

The process of syncing to (and from) files on Yandex through multiple devices might result in duplicate files. To tackle the issue, we suggest using Clones File Checker that will scan the downloaded folders along with files for duplicates.

First, you need to download Clones File Checker, which is available for both Windows and Mac. Once you have downloaded the program, install it through its setup file. When the installation is over, open it up to come across an easy-to-use interface.

Click the Add button to select the local Yandex Disk folder. Next, select if you want to scan this folder for all types of duplicate files or specific file types like Music, Images etc.

Now click the Start Search button to launch the scan. You will have to be a little patient while Clone Files Checker does the job. When the scan is over, you will get the scan results pop-up summarizing the duplicates that have been detected.

Click the Fix Wizard button. Next, choose if you want to retain the newest or oldest copy in each duplicate group. The final step is to decide if you want to permanently delete the duplicate files or move them to a folder.
