How to Access and Delete Junk Files?

Step # 1: Using Disk CleanUp

Recover basic temporary files created by Windows, browser through the steps given below:

1. Open File Explorer through its Taskbar icon. Or open Run, type “explorer” and press ENTER.
2. In the left panel you would see list of drives under This PC category. (The default name This PC may differ in case it has been changed by user)
3. Right click a drive, choose Properties > General > Disk CleanUp.
4. Now analyse and clean-up all temporary, junk files from that partition.

Step # 2: Cleaning Temporary Internet Files

1. Type “inetcpl.cpl” in Search/ Run to open the Internet Properties dialog box.
2. Click the “Delete” button under General tab > Browsing History category.
3. Check-up all boxes in subsequent screen, and then click Delete again.

Step # 3: Using ST Cleaner

This is the most essential step for recovering several GBs of HDD space.

1. Download Sorcim’s ST Cleaner.

2. Install and run that tool.
3. From the main screen, start the scan and wait a while.
4. Once the results are displayed, choose to clean up junk from all categories.
