eBooks can be of different types: Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) and OpenEBook that requires subset of both CSS and XHTML.

Why should you delete duplicate eBooks?

• Automatically delete a huge amount of duplicate eBooks and make your system faster.
• Get more storage space by deleting junk files
• Improve your system performance; get rid of disorientation

Take an Action

Manually removing duplicate eBooks is not practical since each file can have dupes in different drives, directory and with different names. Consider the better option: You can free up a lot of your storage space by using a software that uses smart algorithms with automatic duplicates selection feature. You will have two options – review dupes and take action; or automatically take specified action on all dupes.

Process

1. Download Sorcim’s Clone Files Checker. Install the program on your machine.
2. Choose the folders/ drives that contain your eBooks, and then start the scan.
3. Wait for a while till the scan results are accumulated.
4. Once you get a new prompt, either select Quick Fix or Review & Fix, depending on  how you would like to clean duplicate eBooks.

Methods

• Quick-Fix: This option requires you to let software make decisions about removing identical ebooks. It automatically takes user specified action on all duplicate eBooks without needing user approval.

• Review & Fix: It lists out all file names – duplicates and originals, and categorizes them into several groups so that user can select eBooks to take an action.

Taking an Action

You may choose to move your identical eBooks into Recycle Bin or delete them permanently. The third option enables moving all of dupes into a single folder.
