Find Duplicate Google Sheets in GDrive

Google Docs is an amazing web based portal that offers incredible features to store documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms and PDFs online. It becomes easier to manage your online Google Sheets when they are lesser in number. It enables universal access to your Google Sheets, making it easy to upload and view them from any device.

Over times, you accumulate substantial amount of duplicate Google Sheets while sharing and collaborating your files with your co-workers.

1. First visit the Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/#

2. Sign in with your email id and password.
3. You’re now at the top level with an alphabetical list of cloud files. If not, go to Google Drive > My Drive.
4. Click the Sort Options icon on upper right corner of the screen.
5. Select “Name” from the drop down options.
6. You should have now all your Google Sheets sorted namewise in an alphabetical manner.
7. Now you can see Google Sheets names that appear twice, thrice or more. You can find duplicate versions of your original Google Sheets.
8. Compare multiple files, use previews by right clicking a Google Sheet, selecting Preview option. Obviously, files with same content, type are duplicates. Delete them by right clicking and selecting Remove option.
9. Finally, don’t forget to clear up Trash content.
