 Manual Steps

1. Click File Explorer icon on Taskbar.

2. Click a drive name in left corner pane.

3. There you can search your Zip Files. Here is a list. Search each file extension one-by-one:

  • .zip
  • .rar
  • .7z
  • .iso
  • .tar
  • .ace
  • .cab
  • .aac
  • .ace
  • .alz
  • .apk
  • .at3
  • .bke
  • .bik
  • .bkf
  • .bz2
  • .bld
  • .daa
  • .dpe
  • .egg
  • .egt
  • .ezip
  • .gho
  • .ghs
  • .gz.
  • jar
  • .lz
  • .tgz
  • .tar

 

4. Your search results are now in front of you.

5. Click View tab on Ribbon interface.

5. Click Details Pane icon under Panes category.

6. Sort all files, group-wise. Click Group by | Name.

7. Here you go. Now arrange all your files alphabetically. Open each zip file to check its contents. And, finally, spot duplicate files and remove them.

 

Also important is to  enable Drive Indexing prior to start a thorough scan . Perform a new  search after this process end.

 

1. Press Windows Key + C.

2. Charms Bar will appear. Click Search icon.

3. Type “Indexing options” in Search Box.

4. Click Settings icon.

5. Open the keyword from your Search Results.

6. You have now Indexing Options dialog on your screen. Click Modify button.

7. In subsequent Indexed Locations dialog box, click “Show all locations” button.

8. Check-up all drives displayed on a listbox. Click OK | Close.
